AI connector

Use Fractional Manager inside Claude or ChatGPT.

Ask your assistant for a workflow from your own job, run it on real work in the same chat, and log how it went. The run lands in your Fractional Manager learning log as practice you did, not a course you watched.

You need a Fractional Manager account. The connector is part of the free plan. Create one

Setup

Connect your assistant

Claude

  1. In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors.
  2. Choose Add custom connector, name it Fractional Manager, and paste the connector address.
  3. Sign in to Fractional Manager when asked, and allow access.

Works on claude.ai and in the Claude desktop and mobile apps once added.

ChatGPT

  1. In ChatGPT, open Settings, then Apps.
  2. Add a custom app with the connector address. On some plans this sits under Advanced settings.
  3. Sign in to Fractional Manager when asked, and allow access.

Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code

  1. In Fractional Manager, open Settings and create a personal access token.
  2. Add the connector address as a remote MCP server, with the token as a Bearer authorization header.

Settings shows the exact command for Claude Code.

Gemini

  1. In the Gemini web app, open Settings, then Connected Apps.
  2. Under Custom apps, add the connector address and sign in to Fractional Manager.

Google currently offers custom apps only to personal accounts in the US, aged 18 or over.

Tools

What your assistant can do

  • get_my_workflowsReads

Lists the practice workflows matched to your field and your AI level, with how many times you have run each.

  • get_workflowReads

Returns one workflow's steps: what to have ready, the prompt for each step, and the checks to make before you use the output.

  • log_workflow_runAdds

Records that you ran a workflow and how it went. Only when you ask.

  • log_ai_winAdds

Adds a piece of real work you did with AI to your learning log. Only when you ask.

  • get_my_metricsReads

Returns your AI level, your success metric scores, your current 30-day focus and the AI work you have logged.

  • recommend_learningReads

Returns learning resources ranked for your field, level and skill gaps.

Nothing is ever deleted or changed through the connector. The two logging tools only add a record, and only when you ask your assistant to log something.

Your data

What the connector sees

  • It cannot read your conversation. Fractional Manager receives only what your assistant passes to a tool, such as a workflow name or the short summary you asked it to log.
  • Logged wins and runs are stored in your Fractional Manager account, where you can see them in your learning log. They are not shown to other members or on your public profile.
  • The connector makes no AI calls of its own. Your assistant does the work, under your own account with it.
  • Workflows remind you to remove confidential data before you paste anything into an assistant.
  • To disconnect, remove the connector in your assistant, or revoke it in Fractional Manager under Settings. Deleting your account deletes what the connector logged.
